An inexpensive stereo amplifier. I had previously been listening to music through a Dynaco ST-70 – a mass-produced stereo tube amplifier kit from the 60s. Hardly a high-end piece of equipment, but it sure blows this Harman Kardon away! No comparison! The Harman Kardon sounds dull, boomy, and harsh next to a decent tube amplifier of comparable price. I’m sorry I bought it.

Easy set up. Needs to have an amplifier to boost power and allow fine tuning of sound.

I did lots of research before choosing this receiver, but I never heard it: unfortunately, the BridgeII that is the Ipod dock for this model is no longer manufactured…bummer…important to me so I exchanged the receiver for a more current model.
